Welcome to Hepburn Retreat. We’re Clint and Shayna - owners, and operators of Hepburn Retreat farm + accommodation - formally city people looking to escape the rat race.
We've designed and built 3 luxury, off-grid cabins in beautiful Ilford, New South Wales, just a short drive from the town of Mudgee.
Hepburn Retreat was born from the idea of wanting a space to unplug and recharge, comfortably and sustainably.
During several surgery recoveries, tiny home stays weren't cutting it, we wanted a flushing toilet and more space - Clint is 6'6 so you can only imagine! We wanted a life of nature, away from screens, incorporating as much sustainability as possible - so we built what we were looking for!
For us, living as close to zero impact as possible is our life intention not just a business. We have big plans for Hepburn Retreat to become fully sustainable - with abundant veggie gardens and seasonal produce platters at your doorstep, so you can enjoy the best of regional New South Wales.
Hepburn Retreat is a place to unwind, recharge and take a moment for you. We invite you to slow down and take a break from your busy life in the big smoke.

A typical stay at Hepburn Retreat might look like this… Wake up to the sound of nature and start your morning with fresh eggs from the chicken coop, and a coffee while you watch the sunrise. Spend a moment taking it all in before you explore by taking a walk in nature, journaling or indulging in an afternoon siesta. In the cooler months, light your own fire as the sun sets with a book, wine or marshmallow in hand.

Each of our off-grid cabins have been designed for ultimate comfort, relaxation and downtime - with queen mattresses, custom kitchenettes, BBQ, seating area and private fire pit.
Our self-contained villas have everything you need for a luxury getaway.
